北海道・函館市の北に位置する『グリーンピア大沼』は、豊かな自然に囲まれた総合リゾート内にある中規模のスキー場。リフト2基・7コースを備え、初心者から上級者まで、またファミリーでも楽しめるコースレイアウト。リフト券は1日券のほか時間券も用意されており、週末にはナイター営業も実施。滑ったあとは、併設のホテルで日帰り温泉を楽しめるようです。
今回は、そんな『グリーンピア大沼』のゲレンデを実際に滑ってみました。訪れた日は圧雪の上に数センチの新雪が積もり、急斜面では新雪の感触を楽しめましたが、緩斜面ではスピードが乗りにくいちょっと難しいコンディション。それでもコースの起伏を活かしながらライディングを楽しみました。今回のセッションには Moss Snowboardsのライダー "Teppei Hirota" が参加。
Located north of Hakodate City in Hokkaido, "Greenpia Onuma" is a medium-sized ski resort within a comprehensive resort surrounded by rich nature. With two lifts and seven courses, it offers a course layout suitable for beginners to advanced riders, as well as for families.
Lift tickets include both full-day and time-based options, and night skiing is available on weekends. After skiing, it's a nice touch to enjoy a day-use hot spring at the on-site hotel.
On the day of my visit, a few centimeters of fresh snow had fallen over the groomed slopes. While the steep areas allowed me to enjoy the fresh snow, the gentle slopes made it a bit difficult to gain speed. Still, I enjoyed riding while making the most of the terrain's features. Moss Snowboards rider "Teppei Hirota" joined the session.

From the parking lot to the ski resort.
センターハウスを抜け、少し歩いた先に第1ペアリフト乗り場があります。
After passing through the center house and walking a little further, you'll reach the first pair lift station.

第２ペアリフトを乗り継ぎ、ゲレンデ上部へ。
Take the second pair lift to reach the upper part of the slopes.
まずは、急斜面のコスミックコースへ。
First, head to the steep Cosmic Course.
急斜面ながら、大きくターンを刻みながら新雪を堪能。
Despite the steep slope, I enjoyed the fresh snow while making wide, sweeping turns.
2本目はパノラマコースへ。奥に進むとスカイウェイ、ロマンスコースにアクセスできます。
For the second run, head to the Panorama Course. As you go further, you can access the Skyway and Romance Course.

スカイウェイは斜度がありコース端の新雪を楽しみました。この日は圧雪が入っていなかったかも？
The Skyway had a steep slope, and I enjoyed the fresh snow.
ロマンスコースはスキー場上部で最も奥に伸びるコース。
The Romance Course is the furthest course at the upper part of the ski resort.
コーナーを曲がると雪が積もっていたためスピードが出ず、リフト降り場に戻るのにやや緩すぎる印象。
As I turned the corner, the snow that had accumulated slowed me down, and I felt that the slope was a bit too gentle when returning to the lift station.
スキー場下部へ向かい、ミルキーウェイを滑走。
Heading toward the lower part of the ski resort, I rode down the Milky Way course.
自然のうねりが面白いミルキーウェイ。
The natural undulations of the Milky Way course made it quite fun.
途中に大きな斜度変化があり、うねりも相まって楽しいコース
The course has a significant change in slope along the way, and combined with the undulations, it makes for a fun ride.
コース下部の端にはスノーパークもありました。
At the edge of the lower part of the course, there was also a snow park.
最後にファミリーロードへ。
Finally, I headed to the Family Road.
上部は気持ちよくターンできるが、
The upper part allows for smooth, enjoyable turns,
下部はかなりの緩斜面です。
but the lower part has a very gentle slope.
『グリーンピア大沼』は、豊富なコースバリエーションに加え、自然の起伏を活かした地形遊びが楽しめるスキー場でした。上部の急斜面は積雪状況によってはパウダーライドが可能で、下部のコスミックコースはうねり地形を楽しめます。降雪後で若干スピードがつかなくなる状況でしたが、それでも今回はゲレンデの規模感以上に充実した滑りができたゲレンディングとなりました。

"Greenpia Onuma" is a ski resort where you can enjoy a rich variety of courses, along with terrain play that makes the most of the natural undulations.The steep upper slopes offer the possibility of powder rides depending on the snow conditions, while the undulations of the Cosmic Course at the lower part provide a lot of fun with the terrain. This session turned out to be much more enjoyable than I expected, considering the size of the resort.
