ばんしゅう戸倉スノーパークは、標高650〜950mに位置する100％天然雪のゲレンデ。氷ノ山の南麓にあり、自然雪が豊富なエリアです。週末・祝日のみ営業し、平日は1日30万円の貸切プランというスタイルで運営されているローカルゲレンデ。ゲレンデは3つのエリアに分かれ、最下部のエリアが中〜上級者向けという、少しテクニカルな構成も特徴です。
 

Banshu Tokura Snow Park sits at an elevation of 650 to 950 meters, with 100% natural snow. Located on the southern slope of Mt. Hyono, it's an area known for deep natural snowfall. This local resort opens only on weekends and holidays, offering weekday private rental for ¥300,000 a day. The resort is divided into three areas, with the lowest zone geared toward intermediate to advanced riders—making for a slightly technical setup.

 
今回参加してくれたのは、近畿・中国エリアを拠点に活動するGentemstickライダーのTomohide Inoue。
 
この日は朝の時点で上部リフトの運行が遅れるということで、まずは下部の振子沢ゲレンデから滑ることに。
正面の沢のボトムに圧雪がかかっているそうですが、この日はなんとノー圧雪。ボトムから壁に当てこむにはスピードが足りなそうな印象。

Joining the session was Tomohide Inoue, a Gentemstick rider active in the Kinki and Chugoku regions. Since the upper lift was delayed in the morning, we started from the lower Furikozawa area. Usually the bottom of the main gully is groomed, but today it was untouched. It didn’t seem steep enough to gain speed for hitting the side walls.

 
しかし、雪の状況は良さそう。

Still, the snow quality looked promising.

 
まずは、振子沢に向かう迂回路からスタート。

We started off from the detour route leading into Furikozawa.

Picked up speed on the groomed run, heading straight for the Furikozawa ridge. Going left drops you into the main gully.

 

 
緩くて気持ち良い。この後若干斜度が出てきます。

The slope is mellow and smooth at first, then it starts to steepen a bit.

 
次は、圧雪されていなかった沢の中へ。ラインが入り始めたタイミングを見計らって突入。沢の中は幅も広く、大きな斜面。

Next, we dropped into the ungroomed gully after some lines had been laid down. The face was wide and open—plenty of room to play.

We then took the Takamaru triple lift to the top section.

The upper area is slightly less steep compared to the bottom.

 
みはらしゲレンデは、みはらしペアリフトの両側にコースが広がるレイアウト。

The Miharashi zone spreads out on both sides of the Miharashi pair lift.

 
リフト線下は非圧雪。

Below the lift line is ungroomed.

 
圧雪でスピードをつけて、そのままパウダーに当て込み。

Pick up speed on the groomers, then dive into the powder.

 
高丸ゲレンデには、圧雪されたコースが3本。線下沿いの圧雪バーン。

Takamaru area has three groomed runs. One follows directly under the lift line.

 
途中にはグーフィー壁も。

There’s a nice wall feature halfway down.

Another groomed route branches off midway.

Going straight leads to an open groomed face that brings you back to the Takamaru lift base.

Heading left takes you to a gentler, detour-like run. Step off the groomers and you’re in deep snow.

With powder zones flanking both sides of the groomers, it’s easy to dip in and out as you go.

 
非圧雪の割合がとても多い『ばんしゅう戸倉スノーパーク』
圧雪は限られたところしかせず、週末営業に絞っているため、雪が降ったこの日も朝からパウダー好きが並ぶスキー場。

この日はやや雪が積もりすぎだったので、場所によってはスピードが乗りにくい場面もありましたが、下部の振子沢ゲレンデをしっかり堪能でき、大満足のゲレンディングとなりました。また、平日は1日30万円でゲレンデ貸切ができるとのことなので、イベントや試乗会にも活用できそうなスキー場だと感じました。

Banshu Tokura is a resort with an unusually high ratio of ungroomed terrain. Because grooming is minimal and the resort only opens on weekends, powder hounds were lining up early on this snowy morning.Some sections were a bit too deep to carry speed, but we got a full taste of the Furikozawa zone and had a fulfilling day of Gelanding. With weekday private rental available, this place seems perfect for events or test ride sessions.
