日時：2021年2月中旬 / 天候：晴れ / 雪質：ザラメっぽい雪
今回紹介するのは、愛媛県にある『久万スキーランド』。このスキー場は、四国最大の造雪機”アイスクラッシャーシステム”を備え、12月上旬頃から3月末頃まで営業しています。シーズン中は毎日22時までナイター営業を行うという恵まれた環境が特徴。造雪機が仕事をしてそうです。事前情報を調べて期待を膨らませながらスキー場へ向かいました。参加ライダーはShinji Sato。
Today's feature is Kuma Ski Land in Ehime Prefecture. This ski resort boasts Shikoku's largest snowmaking system, the "Ice Crusher System," allowing it to operate from early December to late March. One of its standout features is daily night skiing until 10 PM throughout the season With expectations high after researching these details, we set off for the ski resort. Participating rider: Shinji Sato.
スキー場入り口、懐かしい遊園地のようなゲートで迎えてくれます。
At the entrance, we were greeted by a charming gate reminiscent of an old-school amusement park.
スキー場へ到着。滑るには入場券とリフト券の両方が必要です。
We arrived at the ski resort. To hit the slopes, both an admission ticket and a lift ticket are required.
周囲に雪がほとんどない風景ですが、ゲレンデはしっかり雪が敷き詰められています。数日前の大雨の影響で、「三坂コース」はクローズ中。
「三坂コース」はホームページに『コース中段にタナがあり、地形変化が楽しめる！』と書かれていて期待していましたが、今回は叶わず残念。
The surrounding scenery had almost no snow, yet the slopes were fully covered.Unfortunately, due to heavy rain a few days earlier, the Misaka Course was closed.
The resort’s website describes the Misaka Course as having "terrain variations mid-course, offering fun changes in elevation!" I had been looking forward to it, so it was disappointing not to experience it this time.
まず滑ったのはメインの皿ヶ峰コース。
The first run was on the main Saragamine Course.
緩やかな斜度と広いコース幅が特徴で、ゆったりと大きなターンを楽しめる。途中には安心して遊べるサイズのキッカーもあり、初心者から中級者まで遊べます。
皿ヶ峰コースは幅広で初心者にも◎
Characterized by gentle slopes and wide course widths, it’s perfect for relaxed, large turns. Along the way, there’s a well-sized kicker that’s safe to enjoy, catering to both beginners and intermediate riders.
コース下部まで幅は広い
夕方になると一度ゲレンデをクローズし、17時から18時の間に整備作業が行われます。ナイターは美しい整備面からスタートできるので、ゲレンデに期待が高まります！
In the evening, the slopes close temporarily for maintenance between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Night skiing starts on beautifully groomed runs,raising expectations for the slopes!
わかりにくいですが、ゲレンデ1番上部にこのスキー場のアイスクラッシャーシステムを支える小屋があるようです。
At the very top of the slopes, there seems to be a hut that supports the ski area's Ice Crusher System.
ナイターゲレンデへ！
Heading to the night skiing slopes!
ナイターでは、皿ヶ峰コースとその隣のウィングコースを滑走。ウィングコースは皿ヶ峰に比べて幅が狭く、緩やかなうねりが続く地形が特徴です。
During the night session, we skied the Saragamine Course and the adjacent Wing Course. Compared to Saragamine, the Wing Course is narrower and features gently undulating terrain.

アイスクラッシャーシステムによって作られた雪が冷えて表面が硬めに変化していました。
The snow created by the Ice Crusher System had cooled and the surface became firmer.
今回の締め飯『ラーメン・ギョーザ 豚太郎』へ。
Tonight's dinner was at "Ramen & Gyoza Buta Taro."
次の日は道後温泉にも立ち寄りリラックス。
The next day, we stopped by Dogo Onsen to relax.
さらに、近くの商店街で松山名物の鯛めしも！大満足
Additionally, we enjoyed the famous Tai-meshi (sea bream rice) from Matsuyama at a nearby shopping street! It was a satisfying experience.
『久万スキーランド』で初めて体験したアイスクラッシャーシステムには驚かされました（詳しくはDVD5作目 STORIES をご覧ください）日本には多種多様なスキー場があることを再認識したゲレンディングとなりました。次回はぜひ、クローズしていた三坂コースのタナ地形で遊びたい！

I was amazed by the Ice Crusher System at Kuma Ski Land, which I experienced for the first time (for more details, please check out DVD 5, STORIES). This trip really reminded me of the diverse range of ski resorts across Japan. Next time, I’d love to play on the terrain in the Misaka Course, which was closed during this visit!Please go if you have a chance
