今回紹介するのは、山形県にある『黒伏高原スノーパークジャングル・ジャングル』。正面には、東北有数のロッククライミング名所である黒伏山がそびえています。月山を越えて風が吹き込む谷に位置し、県内のスキー場で積雪量が豊富なゲレンデと言われているようです。ゲレンデは北向きで雪質にも期待ができそう。訪れる日の天気予報は雪から晴れ。いい状況で滑れそうと期待を胸に、スキー場へ向かいました。
今回参加してくれたのは、このスキー場のローカルで東北を拠点に活動するライダー、Yukihito Sugimoto。彼の案内でゲレンデを滑ることができました。
This time, we’re introducing Kurobushi Kogen Snow Park Jangle Jungle in Yamagata Prefecture. The slopes offer a stunning view of Mt. Kurobushi, one of Tohoku's top rock climbing destinations. Nestled in a valley where winds blow over Mt. Gassan, this ski resort is said to have some of the highest snowfall in the region. With its north-facing slopes, expectations for excellent snow quality run high.
The weather forecast for the day predicted snow transitioning to sunshine—a promising setup for great skiing conditions. With high hopes, we headed to the resort.
Joining us this time was Yukihito Sugimoto, a local rider from this ski resort and an active snowboarder based in Tohoku. Thanks to his guide, we were able to enjoy the slopes comfortably.If you have the chance, be sure to visit!

スキー場の入り口にはエスカレーターがあり、これに乗ってゲレンデへ向かいます。
Upon entering the resort, you'll find an escalator that takes you up to the slopes.
ゲレンデは前夜に降った新雪が圧雪の上に数センチ積もり、気持ちよく滑るのに理想のコンディション♪
Fresh snow from the previous night had piled up a few centimeters on the groomed slopes—perfect conditions for a smooth and enjoyable ride!

W-1のコース中部にはパーク
As we rode the lift, Yukihito Sugimoto shared, "This ski resort can feel slow when there's too much snow, but today the conditions are just right."
まずはW-2コースから滑り始めました。幅広で適度な斜度があり、朝のノートラックを思いっきり楽しむことができました。
We started with the W-2 course. The W-2 course offers a wide and moderately steep slope, allowing us to enjoy the no track conditions in the morning.
次にW-1コースへ移動。上部はグーフィーライダー向けの壁が続きます。
Next, we moved to the W-1 course, where the upper section features a series of wall-like terrains.
コース中頃にはパークがあり、ハーフパイプ跡の地形では落ち込みジャンプも楽しめました。
Midway through the course, there was a snow park, and the terrain left from a half-pipe allowed us to enjoy some jumps as well.
下部に進むと斜度が増し、スピード感のある滑走が楽しめます。また、リフト線下には非圧雪エリアもありました。
As we moved to the lower part of the course, the slope became steeper. Additionally, there was an uncompacted snow area beneath the lift line.
W-3コースは様々なコースへアクセスできるため、どこに向かうか迷ってしまうほど。幅が広く気持ち良く楽しめました。
The W-3 course offers access to various other trails, making it hard to decide where to ride next. This course was also wide and provided an enjoyable experience.
E-1コースは最初、非圧雪から始まりました
The E-1 course starts with an uncompacted snow area.
端には新雪がたまっており、スピードを出して当て込む。気持ち良い。
Fresh snow had accumulated at the edges of the course, allowing us to pick up speed and dive into it.
E-2コースの入り口はレギュラーの壁から始まります。
The entrance to the E-2 course starts with wall-like terrain.
その後、適度な斜度と幅広なコースが続き、自由にターンを振って思いっきり楽しめます。
After that, the course continues with a gentle slope and wide terrain, allowing you to enjoy turns freely.
途中には地形遊びができるポイントもあり、小壁などの遊び場が最後まで続きます。
Along the way, there are spots for terrain play, with features like small walls that provide fun opportunities all the way to the end.
『黒伏高原スノーパークジャングル・ジャングル』は、全体的に斜度が緩やかで幅広いコースが多いのが特徴です。初心者から上級者まで楽しめる構成で、緩やかな滑りからスピードを出してのカービングや当て込みまで、あらゆるスタイルで遊べるゲレンデでした。ローカルライダーと一緒に滑ることで、より一層スキー場の魅力を感じることができました。
今回は圧雪の上に新雪が積もったコンディションで滑りましたが、次回は圧雪仕立てのゲレンデも滑ってみたいと思いました。

The layout caters to everyone, from beginners to advanced riders, offering a variety of experiences—from relaxed cruising to high-speed carving and terrain features. It’s a versatile resort where you can enjoy all kinds of riding styles. Sliding alongside a local rider further highlighted the charm of this ski area.
This time, I enjoyed riding in conditions where fresh snow was layered over the groomed slopes. Next time, I'd like to try the slopes in their fully groomed state.
