日時：2024年1月下旬 / 天候：曇り / 雪質：降雪後

北海道紋別市から車で1時間以内の場所に位置する『滝上町桜ヶ丘スキー場』。リフト1基とロープトウ1基、初級から上級までの5つのコースを備えたコンパクトなローカルスキー場です。

このスキー場の特徴は、降雪状況によって営業時間が変動すること?のようです。（公式ホームページに記載あり。訪れる時は要確認）。訪れた日は午後からのオープンで、13:00過ぎに滑走開始。ほぼノートラックの贅沢なコンディションでした。

今回は、スノーボードシェイパー (OG Shape) として活躍する ”Nobuyuki Ohe” が参加してくれました。

Sakuragaoka Ski Resort is located within an hour's drive from Monbetsu City, Hokkaido. This compact local ski resort features a single lift, a rope tow, and five courses ranging from beginner to advanced levels. One unique feature of this ski resort is that its operating hours vary depending on snowfall conditions (as stated on the official website). On the day of our visit, it opened in the afternoon, and we started skiing just after 1:00 PM. The conditions were nearly untouched, offering a luxurious riding experience. This time, snowboard shaper (OG Shape) Nobuyuki Ohe joined us.

Purchased the lift ticket inside the rest house.

Rode the single lift to the top of the slope while enjoying the view of the Dynamic Course.

ダイナミックコース。スタートはコース幅が狭め

Dynamic Course: The starting section is relatively narrow.

途中から斜度がキツくなるが、この日は新雪もあり気持ちよく斜面を滑れた

The slope gets steeper midway, but I was able to enjoy the ride by aiming for the fresh snow along the course edges.

スキー場のレイアウトは、リフト降り場から離れるにつれてコースが徐々に分かれていくようになっていた。

The layout of the ski resort is such that the courses progressively split as you move further from the lift's landing area.

まずはダイナミックコースの隣、渓谷コースへ

First, I’ll ride down the Keikoku Course next to the Dynamic Course.

コース上部は非圧雪と圧雪が半々で別れており、非圧雪では爽快なライディングを楽しめました

The upper part of the course is divided equally between ungroomed and groomed sections, and I enjoyed a refreshing ride on the ungroomed terrain.

圧雪エリアではスピードをつけて端パウを当て込む

In the groomed area, I picked up speed and carved into the fresh snow.

下部は斜度が緩くなり、心地よいクルージングゾーン。（ロープトゥを使うと下部のみを滑ることが可能）

The lower part of the course becomes less steep, offering a pleasant cruising zone. (Using the rope tow allows you to ride only the lower section.)

その奥には林間コース。このコースは全面圧雪で、上部から下部までスピード感のある滑りが楽しめる

Further into the area is the Forest Course. It is fully groomed, offering a smooth, speedy ride from top to bottom.

最も奥に位置するカラマツコースへ

Next, we head to the furthest course, the Karatsu Course.

圧雪は中央部分のみで、その上に新雪が積もり、ほぼ全面非圧雪のコンディション！

The groomed area is only in the center, with fresh snow accumulated on top, creating nearly all-off-piste conditions!

コース復帰には板を脱いでハイクアップが必要でしたが、その価値は十分。最高のライディングを満喫。

To return to the course, I had to unstrap my board and hike up, but it was totally worth it. I enjoyed the best riding experience.

『滝上町桜ヶ丘スキー場』は、コンパクトながらも圧雪・非圧雪がバランスよく配置され、急斜面・緩斜面を楽しめる北海道らしいローカル感あふれるスキー場でした。しかも、ほぼ貸切状態で贅沢な時間を堪能することが出来ました。ただし、営業時間は降雪状況により変動するらしいので、事前に問い合わせてから訪れることをおすすめします。
