今回紹介するのは、『ウィンザースノービレッジ』。ここは、かつてG8洞爺湖サミットが行われたウィンザーホテルに併設されたスキー場。
以前は洞爺湖側と海側に広がるゲレンデがあり、ゴンドラも設置されていたそうですが、現在は海側に2つのコースのみが営業する小規模なスキー場へ。基本的に宿泊者専用のスキー場ですが、今回許可をいただき滑ることができました。

Let me introduce you to Windsor Snow Village, a ski resort affiliated with the renowned Windsor Hotel, which hosted the G8 Toyako Summit. In the past, the resort featured slopes spanning both the Lake Toya side and the ocean side, complete with a gondola. However, operations are now limited to two courses on the ocean side. Primarily reserved for hotel guests, we were granted special permission to film and ride at this exclusive ski area. Joining us for this shoot was FULLMARKS rider, Takuya Harayama.

The Windsor Hotel, towering over Lake Toya, stands out as a striking landmark visible from afar.

 
 

スキー場へ近づくと見えてくるウィンザーホテル

 

 
スキー場へは地下駐車場から直接アクセスできる仕様になっており、ホテルを通らずにゲレンデへ向かうことができました。

The ski area is designed for direct access from the underground parking lot, allowing visitors to head to the slopes without passing through the hotel.

 

 

 
朝に圧雪されたゲレンデ。かけたて。誰も滑っていないノートラックに期待が高まる。

The freshly groomed slopes in the morning heighten the excitement of enjoying the runs all to ourselves.

 
思ってたより海が近い。

The sea is closer than expected.

まずは「①のコース」から滑りました。緩斜面、緩やかなうねり地形が続く。景色とノートラックの圧雪が相まって、特別感たっぷりの気持ち良い1本を楽しむことができました。貸切感がすごい！

I started by skiing on Course ①. It was a gentle slope with mild undulating terrain. The combination of the scenic view and the freshly groomed snow created a special feeling, making it a truly enjoyable run. The sense of having the whole place to myself was amazing!

 

 

 
続いて「②の左側のコース」へ。こちらも緩やかな起伏が続く地形で、滑りながら癒されました。
撮影を終える頃には、スキー体験を予約をしていた宿泊者2名がゆったりとゲレンデを滑り始めていました。このスキー場の静けさと貸切感は、他ではなかなか味わえない特別な体験だと思います。

Next, I moved to the left side of Course ②. The terrain here also featured gentle undulations, and I felt completely relaxed as I skied. By the time the filming was done, two guests who had reserved a ski experience started leisurely skiing down the slopes. The tranquility and sense of having the whole place to myself at this ski resort offer a unique and special experience that is hard to find elsewhere.

 

 

 

 
『ウィンザースノービレッジ』は、目の前に広がる美しい景色と、宿泊者専用という貸切感を味わえるスキー場でした。以前あった洞爺湖側のコースは海側より斜度があったようで、ゴンドラが稼働していた当時の滑走に想いを掻き立てられました。

Windsor Snow Village offered a ski resort experience with beautiful views right in front of you and a sense of exclusivity for guests only. The former courses on the Lake Toya side, which seemed to have steeper slopes than those on the sea side, would have been fun to ski if the gondola were still operating.
